Terms of Service
The agreement between you and ClickBus whenever you search for a journey, open an account, complete a booking as a guest, or travel on a ticket issued through ClickBus in Libya.
01 These terms and who we are
These terms govern your use of the ClickBus website, the ClickBus mobile application, and the sales points and support channels operated under the ClickBus name. ClickBus is a brand of EZ-Pass Tunisia and is represented and marketed in Libya by the company "ASFAR al-Huroj" ("ClickBus", "we", "us").
By searching for a journey, opening an account, completing a booking as a guest, or travelling on a ticket issued through ClickBus, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service. If you book for other passengers, you confirm that you have their authority to accept these terms on their behalf and that the details you enter for them are accurate.
02 Our role: a commercial intermediary, not the carrier
The following conditions define the strict nature of our service:
- Commercial Intermediary: ClickBus acts exclusively as an intermediary and only offers a commercial matchmaking and ticketing service.
- Managed by operators: All information relating to trips (routes, schedules, vehicle condition, crew, etc.) is managed directly and exclusively by the approved operators, their administrations, and their teams.
- Transmission of information: We merely provide travelers with the travel information that the operators transmit to us.
- No liability for trips: ClickBus is in no way responsible for delays, trip cancellations, or the non-existence of a scheduled trip. The contract of carriage is formed exclusively between you and the operator named on the ticket.
03 Where we operate and Governing Law
ClickBus sells intercity journeys within Libya and cross-border journeys. The entire service, all bookings, and all trips are strictly subject to the rules and conditions of Libyan legislation, as well as the travel conditions of the approved operators. Libyan law strictly governs these terms, regardless of the departure or arrival destination.
04 Exclusive Payments in Libyan Dinars (LYD)
All payments on the platform and at points of sale are made exclusively in Libyan Dinars (LYD). No other payment method or currency is accepted. The total on the checkout screen is the total you pay.
05 Your account and guest bookings
You can book as a guest or with a ClickBus account. An account is required for the Wallet, saved passengers, booking history and self-service cancellation. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 18 to hold an account or make a booking. Passenger names and identity-document details must match the document that will be presented at boarding. Operators and border authorities may refuse travel where they do not.
06 Booking and your ticket
A search shows what an operator has made available. Your booking exists once we confirm it and issue a ticket reference. Your ticket is the electronic record held against that reference. A ticket is valid only for the passenger, journey, date and seat shown on it. Tickets are personal and may not be resold, auctioned or transferred for value.
07 Cancellations and the ClickBus Wallet
You may cancel a booking from the ticket screen while it is still eligible, subject to the specific refund policy set by the operator for that route.
Strict Refund Policy: In the event that a trip cancellation entitles you to a refund, all refunds are issued exclusively as electronic credit to your virtual "ClickBus Wallet" linked to your account.
- This balance must be reused to purchase another ticket on the ClickBus platform.
- Under no circumstances will refunds be issued in cash or credited back to your original bank card or payment instrument.
- The Wallet balance is strictly personal, pays no interest, cannot be transferred to another account, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
08 Travel rules and conduct
The following conditions apply to every journey. An operator may add stricter conditions for its own routes:
- Check in at least 30 minutes before departure.
- A valid government-issued ID must be presented upon boarding.
- Smoking and pets are strictly prohibited inside the bus.
- You must occupy the seat assigned on your ticket, if the operator requires it.
- Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings.
- A passenger who is abusive, intoxicated, endangers others, or refuses to follow the crew's lawful instructions may be refused carriage or set down during the journey without any right to a refund.
09 Cross-border journeys
Journeys crossing an international border require strict compliance with border authorities. Holding a valid ticket is not permission to enter another country. You are responsible for holding a valid passport, any required visa, and customs documentation. If you are refused exit or entry, the fare is not refundable by ClickBus and the operator is not obliged to wait.
10 Sales points
ClickBus operates sales points where tickets are bought and paid for in cash (LYD only). A ticket bought at a sales point is governed by these terms in exactly the same way as one bought in the app. Self-service cancellation requires a ClickBus account.
11 Tracking, estimates and notifications
Live tracking and estimated arrivals are indicative, derived from third-party data, and are not a promise that a vehicle will arrive at a given time. We may send mandatory service messages about your bookings (confirmations, cancellations) via notification, email, or SMS.
12 Privacy and Data
We collect the personal data needed to sell you a journey and run your account. We pass an operator only what it needs to carry you. We do not sell personal data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on how we process your information.
13 Intellectual property
The ClickBus name, logo, interface, content, and software belong to EZ-Pass Tunisia and its licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the app and website to manage your own journeys. You may not scrape data, resell tickets, or attempt to breach the service's security.
14 Liability and force majeure
We are responsible for providing the booking platform with reasonable care. We are not responsible for the performance of the journey itself. Neither we nor an operator is liable for a failure caused by events outside reasonable control (road closures, border closures, severe weather, civil unrest).
15 Changes and disputes
We may change these terms to reflect a change in the law, the service, or an operator's conditions. The terms governing a booking are those in force when you made it. These terms are governed by Libyan law, and the courts of Tripoli have exclusive jurisdiction. Before going to court, please contact our support channels to resolve any disputes regarding the platform. Complaints concerning the actual execution of the trips (delays, cancellations) must be addressed directly to the approved operators.
